Add Made To Order Products

There are two ways to package products: Off the Shelf and Made to Order. Made to Order products are packaged after the order is confirmed. They are in inventory by weight and require a template. When a product is added using a template, it becomes a Template Product and inherits the template's name, brand, category, and attribute group.

Before you begin

Before adding Made to Order products, a Brand, Category, Attributes (Strain, Weight, or General), and Attribute Group must be added.

Made to Order products can be bulk-added or individually added (one at a time).

Bulk add a made to order products

1. Go to the Products menu in the Sales sidebar and click Products.
2. Click Attributes.
3. Click the Attribute Groups tab.                                                                                                 
4. Click the search icon and type the name of the attribute group to use to create the template.

   The attribute group must be created prior to adding products.  

   
5. Click the attribute group's Create Template button. 
   • The Add Product Template pop-up window will open.                                                                     
6. Type a name for the template in the Name field.                                                                               
7. Click the Brand drop-down and select a brand for the template and all of its products.                 
8. Click the Category drop-down and select a category for the template and all of its products.     
9. Type the price for the different product weights in the Price column.                                       
10. Type an optional product description and disclaimer in the Product Description and Product Disclaimer fields.                                     
11. To add a sample for each strain from the selected attribute group, click Add Sample.
12. Click the Sample Type drop-down and select the sample type, then type the sample Price.
13. Select the Products Using This Template Are Made To Order (By Available Inventory) box.   
14. Click Add.
15. Click Confirm to create the template and add products.

Individually add made to order products

1. Go to the Products menu in the Sales sidebar and click Products.
2. Click Add on the Products tab.
   • The Add Product pop-up window will open.
3. Click Upload to add an image, crop the image as needed, and click Save.                                 
4. In the General section, click the Product Template drop-down and select a pre-existing template to use to add the product.

   Product Templates will only be available for selection if they have been created in advance.  If no product templates have been created, you will not be able to proceed with individually adding Made to Order products.

   
5. In the Attribute Value section, click the drop-down of each attribute and select the terms for the product.                                                                                                                                           
6. Type the product's pieces and price in the Pieces and Price fields.                                                   
7. In the Package Configuration section, select the This Product Is Made To Order (By Available Inventory) box.                                                                                                                 
8. Click Save.
9. Click Confirm to save the product.
