Create a Grow Cycle from a Propagation Batch

A Grow Cycle is a group of plants planted on the same date, in the same growth stage, that will eventually be harvested together, usually from the same room.

When creating a grow cycle from a propagation batch, each propagation will receive its individual plant code from the relevant state traceability system and all plants within the grow cycle will be in a vegetative state by default.  Each plant within the grow cycle will be displayed on the Plants page and the entire Grow Cycle will be displayed on the Grow Cycles page.

Create a grow cycle from a propagation batch

  1. Click Propagations in the Trace sidebar.
  2. Select the propagation(s) to use to create the grow cycle.                                                                  Screenshot_2022-12-07_at_5.43.10_PM.png
  3. Click Actions.                                                                                                                                            Screenshot_2022-12-07_at_5.42.44_PM.png
  4. Select Create Grow Cycle.
    • The Create Grow Cycle pop-up window will open.

All selected propagation batches will be displayed with the name, strain, quantity of each batch, and quantity of each batch available to be transplanted. The number of propagations that will be transplanted can be changed for each propagation batch by typing a new quantity in the quantity field. By default, the quantity displayed is the maximum amount possible.  The total quantity of all propagations from all batches to be transplanted (for Grow Cycles with more than one propagation batch), will also be displayed.

  5. Type a required(*) Grow Cycle Name.
    • By default, the Grow Cycle Name field will be  <STRAIN> - <DATE> - <TIME>. If multiple propagation batches have been selected, the Grow Cycle Name will be <Multiple Strains> - <DATE> - <TIME>.                                                                                                                      Screenshot_2022-12-07_at_5.40.46_PM.png
  6. Click the Plant Room drop-down and select a grow cycle room (where the plants will be located).                                                                                                                                                    Screenshot_2022-12-07_at_5.41.14_PM.png
  7. If the room is within a larger room, click the Subroom drop-down and select the grow cycle subroom.                                                                                                                                        Screenshot_2022-12-07_at_5.41.35_PM.png
