Print Labels

Labels must first be created before they will be available for selection when printing. The category assigned to a label will determine where the label will be available for selection within Trace.  The available label categories are Propagations, Plants, Inventory, and Product.

  • Labels assigned to the Propagation category will only be available when printing labels for propagations.
  • Labels assigned to the Plant category will only be available when printing labels for plants.
  • Labels assigned to the Inventory category will only be available when printing labels for Unlotted and Lotted Inventory.
  • Labels assigned to the Product category will only be available when printing end product labels. 

Print propagation labels

  1. Click Propagations in the Trace sidebar.
  2. Select the propagation in the Bamboo ID column.
  3. Click Actions and select Print Labels.
  4. Click the Label drop-down and select the label to use.
  5. Click Generate.
    • The labels for the selected item(s) will generate and will be available for printing. Each label will have its own page, but you can print multiple labels on a single page by adjusting your printer's settings.

Print plant labels

  1. Click Plants or Grow Cycles in the Trace sidebar.
  2. Select the individual plant(s) or single grow cycle in the Bamboo ID column.
  3. Click Actions and select Print Labels.
  4. Click the Label drop-down and select the label to use.
  5. Click Generate.
    • The labels for the selected item(s) will generate and will be available for printing. Each label will have its own page, but you can print multiple labels on a single page by adjusting your printer's settings.

Print inventory labels

  1. Go to the Inventory menu in the Trace sidebar and click Unlotted or Lotted.
  2. Select the unlotted or lotted inventory in the Bamboo ID column.
  3. Click Actions and select Print Labels.
  4. Click the Label drop-down and select the label to use.
  5. Click Generate.
    • The labels for the selected item(s) will generate and will be available for printing. Each label will have its own page, but you can print multiple labels on a single page by adjusting your printer's settings.

Print product labels

Product labels can be downloaded after an order manifest has been created in Trace and has an "In Transit" status. 

  1. Go to the Manifests menu in the Trace sidebar and click Outbound.
  2. Click the Orders tab.
  3. Quickly find the order manifest by clicking the filter icon and applying the relevant manifest filters.
  4. Click the order manifest's Download drop-down and select Product Labels.
    • The Download Product Labels pop-up window will open displaying the list of product labels to be downloaded.  Labels with missing product information will display in red and cannot be downloaded until the necessary information has been added.  Labels displayed in green can be downloaded.
  5. Click Download to confirm downloading the labels.
    • The labels for the ordered products will be downloaded in a PDF file and will be available for printing. Each label will have its own page, but you can print multiple labels on a single page by adjusting your printer's settings.
