Add Third Party IDs to Products and Samples

Third-Party IDs (3PIDs) can be used to cross-reference products and samples between different platforms.  Adding third-party IDs makes it possible to export products and samples in a format that can be imported to other third-party platforms and is especially useful when using Bamboo Sales with other traceability platforms.

Add a third party id to a product

1. Go to the Products menu in the Sales sidebar and click Products.
2. Click the search icon and type the name of the product.                                                                     
3. Click the product's Bamboo ID in the Bamboo ID column.                                                             
4. Type the product's third party ID in the product's 3PID field.                                                                               
5. Click Save to save the product's 3PID.                                                                                                   

Add a third party id to a sample

1. Go to the Products menu from the Sales sidebar and click Samples.
2. Click the search icon and type the name of the product sample.                                                         
3. Click the sample's Bamboo ID in the Bamboo ID column.                                                               
4. Type the sample's third party ID in the sample's 3PID field.                                                                                 
5. Click Save to save the sample's 3PID.
