Add 3PIDs

Third Party IDs (3PIDs) can be used to cross-reference products, samples, and orders between different platforms.  Adding a third party ID to products, samples, and orders makes it possible to export orders in a format that can be imported to other third-party platforms and is especially useful when using Bamboo Sales with other traceability platforms.

Add a product 3PID

1. Go to the Products menu from the Sales sidebar and click Products.
2. Click Search and type the name of the product.                                                                       
3. Click the product's Bamboo ID.                                                                                                     
4. Type the product's third party ID in the product's 3PID field.                                                                               
5. Click Save to save the product's 3PID.                                                                                                   

Add a sample 3PID

1. Go to the Products menu from the Sales sidebar and click Samples.
2. Click Search and type the name of the product sample.                                                                 
3. Click the sample's Bamboo ID.                                                                                                 
4. Type the sample's third party ID in the sample's 3PID field.                                                                                 
5. Click Save to save the sample's 3PID.                                                                                                 

Add an order 3PID

1. Go to the Orders menu from the Sales sidebar and click Orders.
2. Click Search and type the name of the client that placed the order.                                                   
3. Click the order's Bamboo ID.                                                                                                             
4. Click the Pencil icon in the order's 3PID field.                                                                                       
5. Type the order's third party ID, then click the Checkmark icon to save the 3PID.
