Map Trace Product Categories to State Categories

To ensure compliance when reporting to the different state systems, all Trace product categories must be mapped to the correct state regulator categories.

Map trace categories to the state categories

  1. Go to the Products menu in the Trace sidebar and click Taxonomy.
    • You will be taken to the Trace tab on the Taxonomy page where all Trace categories will be displayed in the Root Category column.  If a Trace category has been mapped to a state category, its corresponding state category will be displayed in the State Category column.  If a Trace category does not show a corresponding state category in the State Category column it means the category has not been mapped to a state category.                                          trace_category.png
  2. If a Trace category does not have a corresponding state category, click the Pencil icon in the category's corresponding State Category field.                                                                                  pencil_icon.png
  3. Click in the blank State Category field.
    • All of the existing state categories will be displayed and available for selection.

The state categories displayed will depend on the state selected in the sidebar as each state may have different categories.
