Add a Category

A category selection is required when adding source products to Trace.  Bamboo categories must be mapped to the correct state regulator categories to ensure that products are reported to the state under the correct categories.

 

Add a category

  1. Go to the Products menu in the Trace sidebar and click Categories
    • You will be taken to the Categories page.
  2. Click Add Category.   
    • The Add Category pop-up window will open.                                                                             
  3. Type the Category Name.                                                                                                                  category_name.png
  4. Click the State Category drop-down and select the corresponding state category. 

    The state category that the Trace category will be mapped to.

  5. If the category is a sub-category, click the Parent Category drop-down and select the parent.  parent.png            
  6. Type an optional category Description.                                                                                              description.png
  7. Click Save.
