Product and product samples are added and managed from the Products menu. Products are available in two different package types, Made to Order and Off the Shelf. A Made to Order product is a product that is in inventory by weight and is packaged only after the order has been confirmed for that product. An Off the Shelf product is a product that is in inventory by individual units and is packaged and ready to be sold as is.
When adding Made to Order products the use of a template is required which means all Made to Order products are also template products (they are added using templates). Off the Shelf products do not require the use of a template when they are added which means they can be both template products or standalone products (products added without the use of a template).
Brands, Categories, Attributes, and Attribute Groups must be added before adding both Made to Order and Off the Shelf products;
Step 1: Add Brands: Brands are the starting point of the Products menu and a brand selection is required when adding a product. Think of Brands as your products' parents, your products cannot exist in sales without them, if there are no brands for your products to belong to, you cannot add products.
Step 2: Add Categories: Like Brands, a category is required when adding products to Sales. Categories group products with similar features. A Sub-category is a division of a category, it is a smaller category contained within a larger category.
Step 3: Add Strain, Weight , and General Attributes: Attributes are the features that describe products and must be selected when adding a product. Weight, Strain, Flavor, Color, and Size are all examples of Attributes. In Sales, there are three different types of attributes; Weight, Strain, and General. The General attribute type should be selected for all non-traceable attributes such as flavor, color, scent, size, etc. Attribute Terms are the different values of an attribute. 1g, 2g, and 3g are terms of a weight attribute; OG Chem, Ice Cream Cake, Sundae Driver are all terms of a strain attribute; and Strawberry, Blueberry, and Watermelon are all terms of a Flavor attribute.

Step 4: Create an Attribute Group: An attribute group is used to group the attributes of a category or sub-category of products and is required when adding products. An attribute group is used to group the attributes of a category of products if the category contains no sub-categories. If a category contains sub-categories then a separate attribute group is used to group each sub-category's attributes. Attribute Groups are used by Templates to automatically add products by combining the different terms in an attribute.

Category: Platinum Flower
- Attribute Group: Platinum Flower (1:1 with the Platinum Flower category)
- Attributes: Weight (Platinum Flower Weight) and Strain (Platinum Flower Strain)
- Platinum Flower Weight Terms: 1g, 2g, 3.5g, 7g, 14g, 28g
- Platinum Flower Strain Terms: High Life, Trophy Wife, Beach Babe, Kush Mintz
Step 5: Create a Template and add Made to Order and Off the Shelf Products: Templates use attribute groups to automatically add products by combining all of the different attribute group terms. Using Templates eliminates the need to manually and individually add products.

- Template: Platinum Flower (because the template will be used to add platinum flower products).
- Attribute Group: Platinum Flower (1:1 with the category)
- Attributes: Platinum Flower Weight and Platinum Flower Strain
